Saltwrights: Norfolk Sea Salt, Made by Hand at Salle Moor Hall Farm

Saltwrights is an independent sea‑salt maker based here at Salle Moor Hall Farm, producing small‑batch Norfolk sea salt using natural methods inspired by centuries of coastal tradition. Founded by Ben and Frances Jackson, the company brings together craft, heritage and a deep respect for the landscape — creating a seasoning that is as characterful as the coastline it comes from.

Every batch is made by hand. Every harvest is shaped by the weather, the tides and the rhythm of the Norfolk shore. The result is a salt with real personality: bright, mineral, and naturally flaky, with subtle variations that reflect the environment it comes from.

Saltwrights is part of a new generation of Norfolk makers reviving traditional practices with modern care and creativity — and we’re proud to host their work here on the farm.

A Norfolk Story Worth Sharing

Saltwrights has recently been selected for support by the Jarrolds Growth Fund, recognising both the quality of the product and the heritage behind it. With new backing and expert guidance, the company is entering an exciting chapter of growth — and we couldn’t be more proud to be part of their journey.
